The Course
This course is intended for employees of the City of Amsterdam who have little or no experience working with CAD. In this course, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of MicroStation Connect. Over the course of three days, you will complete various exercises and master the 2D functions of the software.
- On the first day, the foundation for working with MicroStation is laid. The instructor will introduce participants to the interface and the program’s various mouse functions. Afterward, participants will work with Accudraw. Under the instructor’s guidance, various exercises will be completed to help participants take their first steps in drawing with MicroStation.
- The skills acquired on the first day of the course will be further developed on the second day. This day is entirely dedicated to CAD drawing. Participants will complete many exercises to master the skills. Various snap and drawing functions will be used, and participants will learn how to modify and manipulate elements in the drawing. Attention will also be paid to layers and hatching on this day
- On the third day of the course, the advanced functions of the program are covered, and participants learn to work with selections and cells. To load different files, participants learn to work with reference files. Finally, the drawings will be annotated and plotted. The day concludes with a final exercise.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to work independently as a drafter in MicroStation
