Contact usOn the first day, an introduction to the basics will be provided. By the end of the first day, participants will be able to import data, perform calculations, and answer simple statistical questions using data selection, descriptive statistics, and plots.
On the second day, participants will learn how to create tables, interpret them, and calculate margins. They will also gain an understanding of S3/S4 methods. Additionally, they will learn how to handle missing values and outliers such as Inf. and NULL. Finally, participants will have learned how to work with R Studio projects and will have been introduced to writing scripts and functions in R.
On the third and final day of the course, participants will refine their foundational knowledge. By the end of this day, participants will be able to perform tests of independence on categorical data and to apply and interpret advanced (linear) regression methods. In addition, participants will be able to perform automatic model selection methods using R. Extensive attention is also given to a number of principles underlying graphical analysis methods. Participants will be able to independently produce, modify, and interpret a number of commonly used plot types. Finally, attention is given to the geographical component, explaining how to import geographical data and plot it on maps.
