After completing my MTS, I began working as a architectural draftsman at the engineering firm Arcadis. There, I was fortunate enough to keep pace with developments in the use of 2D and 3D CAD. I gained a thorough understanding of AutoCAD and later MicroStation as well. As an Autodesk-certified instructor and later a Bentley Institute instructor, I taught various CAD training courses.
At the Geo-ICT Training Center, I was introduced to GIS. The instructors are also available for part-time or temporary assignments. For example, I worked as a CAD/GIS operator for the municipalities of Apeldoorn, Almere, and Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In addition to my work, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Geo-ICT. I graduated with a thesis titled “Building Information Modeling (BIM) Is the New Gold.”
At the Geo-ICT Training Center in the Netherlands, I teach all AutoCAD and Revit courses, a large portion of the MicroStation courses, the BAG course, the BGT course, the BIM course, the FME courses, the SQL training sessions, and part of the Surveying course.
