After graduating from the Forestry and Nature Management program at Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, I started working at the Geo-ICT Training Center as a GIS specialist and Geo-ICT instructor. I hit the ground running there, as I was immediately involved in training approximately 160 forest rangers from Natuurmonumenten in QGIS
After an initial period at Geo-ICT Training Center, I began to explore broader opportunities within the field of spatial information. In addition to teaching, I worked part-time for the Province of Overijssel.
Continuing to learn and staying up-to-date with recent developments is a top priority for me. That is why I enrolled in the Master’s program in Geographic Information Sciences (UNIGIS) at VU University Amsterdam. I will graduate at the end of 2023. As a teaching assistant in this program, I teach several practical courses. At Geo-ICT, I teach the advanced ArcGIS and QGIS courses, as well as the QGIS/Python and ArcGIS/Python courses.
